Meet Dr. Jorge Rodriguez
Jorge Rodriguez arrived to the United States in 1999 from Mendoza, Argentina. At that time he had over 25 years of experience as a physical educator, fitness exercise specialist, personal fitness trainer, martial arts expert and yoga teacher. After meeting and working with actor Brad Pitt for his movie Seven Years in Tibet, he decided to continue his professional career in the U.S.
Jorge started International Bodyworks Fitness in 2003 in a small 900 sq. ft. facility with limited space and equipment. In just one year, his Rockford, MI business was booming and Dr. Rodriguez moved to a facility twice as large. International Bodyworks Fitness was becoming very popular for one-on-one Personal Fitness Training, and once again Dr. Rodriguez relocated to a 4,500 sq. ft. facility with room enough for high-tech fitness equipment, massage therapy, weight training, yoga and martial arts.
In 2007, Dr. Rodriguez founded Rockford Yoga Center and created the Holistic Hatha Yoga technique. Later that year he founded Michigan Bodywork & Fitness Academy, offering classes and certifications for those interested in a career in Sports Massage or Personal Fitness Training.
In 2009 Dr. Rodriguez founded Athena, a business organization designed to offer Continuing education to professionals while pushing the boundaries of fitness, wellness, nutrition, and sport and exercise sciences throughout the United States.

His clients have included educators , models, actors, musicians, doctors, lawyers, nurses, entrepreneurs, politicians, investment brokers, housewives, priests, teachers, students and accountants. Jorge enjoys the challenge of creating effective workout routines that fit an individual's unique lifestyle, schedule, and needs.
The most challenging and rewarding part of Jorge Rodriguez's work involves training people with various health conditions.
